Fury: I’ve written an editorial at WiC about the issue of sexism, connected with GoT, critics and the fandom. I really want to open a dialogue about the subject at WiC, since I’ve so many great conversations here on Tumblr about the topic.

We all know Arya, Sansa, and Daenerys are going to fuck some shit up in the future. Wait for it. And let’s not forget Catelyn and her marvelous zombie revenge. Keep reading! It gets better. And I cannot wait for Book 6.

I’ve found all the women characters in Westerosi to be really strong and powerful in their own right. Whether they stay in the traditional women’s roles like Cersi or buck tradition like Brienne.  You don’t scorn Westerosi women and get away with it.

I usually avoid fan forums with the exception being asoiaf.westeros.org, so I haven’t read all the idiotic sexist comments that others are referring to the article. Knowing the internet, I’m sure they exist.
